Eight individuals, a few of them from Honduras, were killed Wednesday in a two-auto crash in the southern US province of Texas including a supposed traveler bootlegger endeavoring to sidestep capture, authorities said.

Police said the driver of a white Honda was shipping five undocumented travelers and escaping sheriffs on a street around 60 miles (100 kilometers) from the Mexican boundary when he passed a truck and crashed into another vehicle, killing the couple inside.

Seven casualties passed on at the scene, while an eighth kicked the bucket later in medical clinic, a representative for the Texas Division of Public Security told AFP. A few of the travelers who were killed in the white Honda were from Honduras, as per police.

US specialists have captured approximately 6,000,000 travelers at its southern boundary since President Joe Biden expected office in January 2021, US Country Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Wednesday.

He added that since May, specialists have “eliminated or returned” in excess of 350,000 travelers who don’t meet the measures to remain in the country.

Unlawful movement has turned into a significant political migraine for Biden, with conservatives blaming him for careless line strategies.

Biden has asked Congress for an extra $13.6 billion to build up the boundary with Mexico and recruit movement specialists, attorneys and haven authorities.
